Giving students a foundation of a Biblical worldview helps them stay grounded for life. Elementary students have Bible everyday and learn memory verses each week. We enjoy a chapel service once a week in which speakers and story tellers from the Christian community teach God's word.
Early elementary uses a
strong phonics program to teach reading. Kindergarteners learn to read during
the first half of the year. Our math is a very traditional approach, we do not
use Common Core. Addition and
multiplication facts are memorized. Middle school students are well prepared
for high school; they test well in placement for advanced classes.
Students enjoy several specials classes each week: art, music, gym, German, STEM, and computers. Each grade takes a variety of field trips to places like Chippewa Nature Center, various farms or apple orchards, the State Capitol, Dow Gardens, the planetarium . . .
