Every Purpose statement needs a clearly defined process
At Grace we follow a simple process for making disciples (Matthew 28:19-20) that provides clarity and direction.
The four step process, CONNECT, GROW, SERVE, GO, is best summarized with the following statement:
"At Grace Baptist Church we lead people to CONNECT with God in our Sunday Worship Celebration, to GROW in the fellowship of a Growth Group community, to SERVE faithfully on a ministry team, and then to GO and share the gospel with others."
Connect in corporate worship
We are committed to CONNECT to God through corporate worship with song, with prayer, with careful attention to His Word, and to CONNECT with our GBC Family to encourage one another. Hebrews 10:24-25;
Grow in a Growth Group
We are committed to GROW closer to God and to one another through regular participation in a GBC Growth Group. Ephesians 4:15-16
serve on a Ministry team
We believe that God has gifted and enabled all believers to serve in the Body of Christ and we expect that every believer at Grace SERVE faithfully on a GBC Ministry Team relative to their physical capability. I Peter 4:10-11
go and make disciples
We accept our responsibility to GO into our local and global communities bringing the gospel to all people. Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8
